Celebrating the New Year in Maldives would be an extraordinary experience. Welcoming a brand new year in a fun-filled, sun-drenched manner in an island full of fine sand and surf wouldn’t be such a bad idea. The New Year in Maldives is a grand event. It is one of the many festivals of the Maldives that the local communities and tourists really anticipate. During the New Year season, tourists from all parts of the world hoard up in the islands of the Maldives to celebrate in various kinds of ways, may it be from snorkeling, diving, dining, or partying in different parts of the island. The Maldives would always be one of the best ways to jump start the New Year. The people in the Maldives during New Year‘s Day engage in a great bunch of activities which mostly include partying. Food and cocktails would always be in abundance during any Maldivian celebration. Great New Year bashes are held whether in yachts, resorts, beaches, or even in the cities. The local communities celebrate the New Year with just as much enthusiasm as the tourists and perform traditional Maldivian dances using the “Bodu Beru” and the “Bulbul” which are the local instruments used during festivities. Singing, dancing, and drinking the night away are the usual customs during the New Year celebrations in all parts of the Maldives. Almost all of the resorts organize gala dinners and parties for their guests during the New Year which would always include the countdown before 12 midnight. Celebrating the New Year in Maldives would definitely be a fascinating way to spring out the upcoming years ahead.
